The Organization behind the Project

The legally recognized association supporting the project is Downtown Connection e.V. The long-term goals of Downtown Connection are to improve the living conditions of deprived children and teenagers worldwide. The Slogan: "think local, act global" describes the ideals of Downtown Connection to promote local facilities which provide support and services to children and teenagers in need.

Downtown Connection connects the activities of several projects on the topics regarding orphans, children and teenagers in need, provides faster access to information and provides public information and discussion.

The founder of Downtown Connection is Dr. Dolly Conto Obregón. Since 1984 she has been caring for children and teenagers living and working on the streets.
She has established projects in Columbia, Guatemala and Bolivia. Today she runs the "Internationales Straßenkinder Archiv".
